Do Women have a Place in Politics?

I first asked myself this question when I decided to stand for Mayor of Timaru as one of my opponents was a women. I found myself comparing her performance to that of other women I know in politics when I realised this was a major issue that needed public debate.
When it comes to me answering this question, do women have a place in politics? At the risk of being accused of being a sexist and a male chauvinist I am afraid my answer is no. Women do not make good politicians because they  are made differently to men and they think differently. Women make decisions based on their emotions while men like to negotiate and look for the best deal in town. Men are designed to woo women and not the other way round. Sex transmutation is a very powerful way to communicate but I don’t believe it has a place in politics.

Marriage
Don’t get me wrong I love women I married one 43 years ago and if it wasn’t for her I would not be able to find anything. She’s a marvellous cook and she can even chop wood but give her a map to read and she’s hopeless.
I’m sorry ladies but women were not made to be leaders of men if they were then God would of created women first. Women were made to be a mate for men and not to lead men.

Women’s Space
What about equality some will cry. If male and female were all equal then why do so many women choose to form their own groups. The fact is women like their own space away from men and that is why there are so many women groups. A good example of this is that gyms catering for women only are becoming a booming industry in this country because women converse different to men.
Women already dominate our education system and if men don’t do something to reverse the trend in politics then pretty soon all men will be wearing the skirts and women the trousers.

Families
In many homes today the women is the head of the family and it does not matter how good a mother she is she can never replace a man who provides male leadership so necessary in the home.

What do you think?
What you have read is just my opinion but I would like to know what you think.
Do you think women have a place in politics?
Do you think we are any better off today now that women are taking a leading role in politics, in business and in the home?

This is a very important subject and one that most people avoid talking about so please pass this article on to others and lets get people talking about it and make it a public debate

Quote of the week

If you want the pain and suffering to stop
then take women out of politics
and put men back at the top
