I’m angry. No I’m more than that I’m bloody angry.
I’m angry because some of the present councilors have had access to the nomination forms before the public did.
As most of you know I’m not one to spoil a good party by
upsetting people.
However when I see kids in the community suffering from the old fashion behaviour of our council members who seem only interested in themselves and their power, that is when I get angry.
To bring some life back into Timaru I said I was prepared to put my name forward for Mayor and there is just 4 weeks to go before nominations close.
This gives me time to decide if I will finally put my name to a piece of paper that will allow me the chance to use my God given spiritual gifts and talents to represent the people of the Timaru district.
I will make that decision once I am satisfied that the present group of councilors have got some strong new opposition from people who have a genuine desire to see Timaru grow.
Timarus biggest need at the moment is for more people and if we don’t change our thinking then don’t blame me because I wont be here to turn the light out.
At the moment my campaign committee consists of myself and a little 6 year old girl who has offered to bake some scones for me to help raise money for my Mayoral campaign.
I feel like the little red hen at the moment. I want to bake some bread to feed my chicks but none of the other animals will help me because they are all too busy feeding themselves.
My little 6 year old girl and I will give it a few more weeks and if no one comes forward to give us a hand then we will just have to sing our song.
No body loves me, everybody hates me and I’m going down to the garden to eat worms.
