Business News – State Highway 1 Town Launches Another Online Phone Book

Timaru Tourist Promotions Ltd have expanded their State Highway 1 chain of online phone books by launching its second business phone book in the town of Oamaru. Names and phone numbers of every business in Oamaru are now listed on to their own online business directory called oamarudirectory.co.nz
The first group of subscribers to the Oamaru business directory were signed up last week and we plan to visit every business in Oamaru offering them the opportunity to subscribe. State highway 1 business directories are believed to be the only online business phone books in New Zealand. Timaru was the first online phone book called timarudirectory.co.nz and it now has a good solid group of foundation subscribers and some interesting news items.
Ashburton is the next town to have its own online phone book and some businesses in Ashburton have already committed themselves as foundation subscribers.
Christchurch and Dunedin are also in the running for their own online business phone books. They will all have the same domain names under directory.co.nz and they will all link to each other. All the 5 phone books will have the appearance of a paper phone book and you will not have to type in key words to find what you are looking for.
This makes it a very quick way to find a business
Another feature of the online phone books is that a business can advertise in all or any of the 5 State Highway 1 phone books because their are not governed by toll calling areas.

News Items
We also intend to add local news items to the online phone books and we are looking for the community to send us their news items. There are lots of positive stories in the community that never reach the newspapers and we want to report those especially the local business news items.
Local news items will come under the headings of Business News, Sports News and Community News.
Put this website into your favorites, refer to it often and we will keep you posted on how the phone books are progressing.
