I see in the Timaru Herald that plans are well underway to get another Timaru gunner project up and running. I don’t know why they called it Maori Park because I have never seen a Maori on there yet. I have always been a bit sceptical of calling it Maori Rock Art because I’ve never seen any evidence that is was the Maori race that actually made the drawings on the rock.
Having said that it does not matter what race of people drew them as long as it sells and brings people into the district and they all bring their ski sticks and swimming togs.
