I was a member of the Performance Training Company Gym in Timaru for 10 years and during that time I built some close friendships with other members of the gym. Justin Laing is the son of the original owners of the gym Ann Laing and Tim Bean. For some unknown reason Justin seemed to take a dislike to me after I broke a world record on an indoor rowing machine. I had a few months off and when I came back to the gym he refused to let me renew my membership but could not give me a reason. He even went to the trouble of getting the police to serve a tresspass notice on me without a reason. I have tried several times to get him to talk about it with me but all he ever does is abuse me and insult me in front of other people.
Defamation of Charactor
I have offered my services to the community as a mayoral candidate and Justin Laing is doing his best to defame my character with his slander. Performance Training has done a secrete deal with the South Canterbury Health Board at subsidised rates for its board members and staff. The deal is taking away clients from other gyms and is eroding the incomes of the other gym owners who cannot compete. Unfortunately it is people like Justin Laing from Performance Training that are dividing the community when they should be leading by example and bringing them together. I would like to hear from anyone else who has experienced any problems with the management and staff at Performance Training company gym in Timaru.
