TIMARU NEEDS YOUR 20 BUCKS

No, not a fist full just 20 bucks each to promote beautiful Timaru

HERE IS THE 20 BUCK DEAL
In the middle of the South Island of New Zealand there is a forgotten city called Timaru. It has heaps of hidden treasures that the world does not know about yet. But, that is about to change because a Timaru photographer has a dream to photograph his home town and launch on to the world stage all the hidden treasures of this great forgotten city. The people of Timaru are typical Town and Country East Coast New Zealanders and their city is about to feature in the first of a series of pictorial books promoting all the rural towns and cities situated along State Highway One. The stories about the treasures of each town will be told using photographs and captions and will be available both online and in hard copies. To promote Timaru on the world stage and make the books affordable everyone is being asked for a donation of just 20 bucks with the option to have their name printed as a sponsor in the books. Chapters in the books will be divided into areas on either side of State Highway One. Below are the boundaries for the first books about Timaru which will come on sale at various times during this year. This is a community promotional project that will benefit both young old but only you can make it happen by sending your 20 bucks to:

  1. Great post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed! Very helpful information particularly the last part :) I care for such info much. I was seeking this particular information for a long time. Thank you and good luck.

I represent a large group of ratepayers and we are in fact looking at doing a similar thing. So far we have a beautiful collection of shots of the Hydro Grand, Caroline Bay, McDonalds drive thru, Phar Lap’s birthplace, Bar Xcel, the scenic reserve, and warehouse stationary. Its great to see that someone else is passionate about getting Timaru out there. Can we share stories and maybe work together?

  3. Ronnie B says:

Thanks for that Barney. If Timaru is to grow and prosper and provide jobs for ourselves and our families we have to find ways to sell ourselves to the tourists. You cant do it and I cant do it on our own, we can only do it by pooling our resources and sharing our ideas with others. Call me if you are serious about your passion.
