Did you now that 10% of the New Zealand population cannot read and 20% of Kiwis live in homes of poverty and therefore cannot afford to buy books for themselves or their kids.
Nobody Cares
The real sad part about this story is that nobody cares. I found this out after doing a survey on peoples attitudes. I wrote some children’s books and after discovering that the cost of publishing the books was more than the retail price I launched a public appeal for funds so that I could give the books away to disadvantaged families.
I hand delivered some 4000 flyer’s asking people to make a donation towards the cost of the children books. I sent out dozens of emails to all the politicians and the news media. My family and friends were also asked to make a contribution towards the plight of the poor New Zealand families.
The Result
After my survey I soon found out that New Zealanders do not care because only 2 people sent me a donation. I used the donation to give a book to a 2 year old Christchurch earthquake victim and his mother. After watching the reaction of people when Iasked them for money I’m convinced that New Zealand people don’t care about their own. They would much rather contribute to overseas charities than sponsor a book for a local kid
Door Knocking
I have written 5 books so far and because New Zealanders are so mean I now have to go door to door begging people for money on behalf of the poor children in an effort to help give them a chance of an education.
If reading this makes you feel guilty then I’m glad because it is time you learnt that life is not just about taking its about giving to people less fortunate than yourself.
I suggest you go and visit the Kiwis kids that live in poverty and buy them a book.
But dont buy a book from me because the are full of local animals. Buy them a book from a bookshop published in London or China

When will you get it into your thick skull – you are an idiot and no one cares or will support what you do -all do you do is destroy peoples lives
