This is the title of my new Photo News Book which will published before Christmas. The question you will be asking is what are the best kept secrets in South Canterbury? One of the most best kept secrets is the most is the most obvious, the City of Timaru itself. There has never been a brochure or book published about all the good things the Timaru City has to offer. Timaru City has only ever been mentioned in some history books about South Canterbury published by Government organisations.

I am doing all I can to promote the Timaru district on my own and the following are the hurdles being put in front of me
- I have reason to believe that I am the only self funded author that has ever published books promoting local government assets.
- I am the only Timaru author that has been declined funding by the local council
- I am the only Timaru author that has not had my books reported and promoted in the local newspapers.
- I am the only Timaru author that gives away free books to charity
- I am the only Timaru author that has promoted every Timaru township and rural community both online and in hard copy.
The future of Photo News
Photo News is a concept that has tremendous potential to educate, promote and record history as it happens. To reach its full potential in the long term the publication needs the support of others. I’m hoping that provided my health holds up I can continue my work of promoting the South Canterbury until I can find others to give me a hand.
