Work Place Bullying

Bulling in the workplace comes in many forms.

Physical Assault:
First of all there is the physical bullying where an employee or employer will physically assault someone in the work place and there are plenty of incidences where this has happened.

I  employed a person once who had assaulted a fellow workmate in the workplace and she then claimed for personal grievance from employee and got it.  What annoyed me at the time is that her former employer would not tell me what had happened until after I employed her. The reason was because she had signed a no tell agreement which forced her to withhold the truth. The sacked women then had the cheek to give me a character reference which had been written after the assault took place.

Emotional Bullying
On 29th February my wife and I will be married for 48 years and we have been living in our present home where we bought up our family for the last 35 years. My wife is now 78 years of age and we are about to lose our family home to a workplace bully. The workplace bully  or one of her friends has made the following statement on this blog

“I’ll see him sleeping in the gutter before his time is out”

A copy of the letter printed  in full is available on my post called Employment Stories Wanted.
My wife have be fighting this battle for over 4 years. Can you imagine how my dear wife feels when she receives this kind of letter threatening her husband and her home. I can handle the emotional bulling but I’m afraid my wife cant. My wife has never had anything to do with my business except as a silent partner and yet she his having to live out her final days being emotionally bullied by a woman who is set herself a goal to destroy our lives. More about this subject on our next blog

 Power Bullying.
The other type of bulling is power bulling this is where an employee who is employed by a large corporate company is blackmailed into resigning.

A man named Paul wrote to me and told me that he had been picked on by a management team who had forced him into resigning and to do it they had used the threat of a letter of complaint from a customer.

The disturbing thing about this story is that the company concerned could not produce the custermer letter of complaint. It would appear that Paul has lost his job for the wrong reasons and he is now fighting for justice.

Disclaimer
Paul has asked me to give links to his website which I will do on the understanding that I do not endorse anything about what he says. You can read his story on his website for yourself and make your own  judgment about him and his story. http://hwyop.blogspot.co.nz/

Workplace Bullying Stories
What concerns me is that lives are being ruined because the workplace bullies can be rewarded for their crime under the present one sided system which is why I’m writting this blog and a book about it.

Have you been bullied at work by an employee or an employer?
Write and tell us your story.  If it meets our criteria then we will publish it on this blog or in our book The One Sided Law. Our goal is to change employment laws in New Zealand to make our country a better place to work and live.
